Rebecca J. Whitcombe
Rebecca J. Whitcombe received her Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School in 2001, and has been licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois since 2001. Her entire legal career has focused on the practice of Family Law.
Rebecca was previously employed as an associate with Kalcheim, Schatz & Berger (now known as Berger Schatz) in Bannockburn, Illinois. She was later employed with Schwartz Wolf & Bernstein LLP, in Buffalo Grove, as a Senior Family Law Associate. In August of 2010, Rebecca opened her own practice in Waukegan, Illinois, focusing entirely on the practice of Family Law. Although she practices predominantly in Lake County, she also practices in McHenry County. Ms. Whitcombe not only advocates for parties in dissolution, post-decree, parentage, and adoption matters, but also serves a representative for children in connection with such cases. In addition, Ms. Whitcombe is one of the few attorneys in Lake County who handles Qualified Domestic Relations Orders for the division of pension and other retirement accounts. In addition to her practice, Rebecca is currently employed as an adjunct professor in the Paralegal Studies Program at the College of Lake County, where she teaches a course in Family Law for Paralegals.
